Breanna has always loved helping others and is passionate about mental health. Growing up in this rural community, she saw the need for increased mental health resources and that inspired her throughout her education. Breanna obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric Nursing and spent her new career on an acute psychiatric unit helping adults with a variety of diagnoses. Breanna enjoys volunteering and has worked in group settings with both children and adults. Breanna works with a trauma informed approach, looking to create a partnership with the individual to achieve client-centered goals. Breanna has worked within cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy and mindfulness frameworks and has worked with anxiety, depression, self-harm, life stressors and crisis situations. One of her favorite things about being a mental health professional is the ability to work alongside others as they continue on their healing journey and find meaningful ways to connect and build fulfilling lives.

Hello!

I am a Registered Social Worker with a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Regina (2016). My career has been built on a passion for helping others and making a difference in their lives.   I have experience working with a wide range of clients, including children in care, adults living with mental health diagnoses, individuals facing on-going medical needs, palliative care clients, and seniors navigating aging and dementia. Throughout my career, I’ve supported individuals who have experienced anxiety, depression, postpartum challenges, relationship difficulties, suicidal ideation, neurodivergence, and crisis situations.   In addition to my professional work, I remain actively involved in several volunteer programs within my rural community. Giving back to the community, and engaging in philanthropy, is an integral part of who I am.   My approach to counselling is grounded in empathy, openness, and mindfulness. My intention is to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard and supported as they work towards healing, growth, and building a stronger relationship with themselves and others.

Looking forward to connecting with you!
